I'll use remote control software to diagnose or fix problems, perform administration or configuration tasks, or check on network performance.

(This beats struggling through traffic to come on-site and is effective for solving a large range of problems.)

I'll perform network administration and configuration tasks.
I'll answer all general queries relating to the use of computers in your business, including upgrading and purchasing advice, via email, or by phone if it's urgent.
The service doesn't include site visits, however I can make a site visit when necessary at my standard call-out rates.

With a Network Support agreement you'll soon qualify for discounts on the cost of site visits.

Guaranteed Response Time

I promise to respond to phone requests within 2 hours, during normal business hours, and within 12 hours at any other time and to reply to emails within 1 business day.

These are worst case response times - most of the time expect me to do much better.

 

Who Would Benefit from Using this Service?

Small to medium-sized businesses without a full-time IT department where one or two staff, in addition to their own jobs, look after the day-to-day network tasks such as making backups and dealing with user problems.

My service would "back-stop" your unofficial IT staff with solid networking and server expertise and troubleshooting skills..

 

Who Can Join?

Anyone can join but, to ensure a high standard, I'm currently limiting the availability of this service to 25 simultaneous subscriptions.

These services are the Simple Backup System and Expert Email Delivery.

When combined with my support service you also get 10% discount on other Arrowmail services.

20% Discount on Site Visits Some things just can't be done remotely. Here's a list of my standard daily rates without the discount.

Replacement Server Rental Offer If you have a major equipment failure that can't be fixed quickly I'll rent you a server for 2 weeks for £150. This includes delivery both ways, installation and setup to get your network back to as near normal operation as possible.

This offer is subject to these terms & conditions.

If you need more time you can continue the rental for £10/day.

The above offers, which involve site visits, apply to companies located in my local area.

For companies located outside of this, but inside my extended area, there's a £50 charge to cover travelling time and expenses.

Further away still and we'll have to negotiate appropriate travel expenses.

You can pre-qualify for the above benefits by paying the required number of monthly fees in advance.

You can add any number of your employees' laptops and home computers to the list of supported equipment by including these in your workstation count.

Terms & Conditions

The Network Support Service operates under the terms & conditions set out in a PDF document that you can download here (20 kbytes).

There's no contract to sign to subscribe to the service although, by becoming a subscriber, this document is deemed to form the agreement between us under which the service operates.

If you'd prefer a real signed contract then I'll supply one free of charge.

Mutually agreed changes or additions can be made to these standard terms & conditions.

If I'm not fully subscribed, and you're happy with the standard terms & conditions, contact me to discuss the details of you network, supply me with your company's details and you've joined.

The arrangement's very flexible as you can cancel at any time without having to give notice.

More about Accessing your Network by Remote Control
If you don't have a way to do this at present, I'll help you set one up that's secure and uses either the Internet, a normal phone line or preferably both.
The benefits are enormous:-
I can see things with my own eyes without you having to describe what's going on.
I can operate the mouse and keyboard remotely to make configurations changes myself without having to guide you through the process.
It allows a much greater range of problems to be fixed quickly that would otherwise require a site visit.
I can connect through from your server to individual workstation to fix problems with these.
I can perform the work outside of office hours to reduce the impact of any server downtime and inconvenience to your staff.
